When star student Kaley gets suspicious of a group of underachievers’ high SAT scores, she unwittingly uncovers a cheating ring…and puts her life in jeopardy.

Synopsis

Kaley has always been super committed to her academics. Mom Fiona couldn’t be prouder of her success. Kaley is gunning for an academic scholarship at her top university choice and she's studying very hard for the upcoming SATs. Her friend, Millie is more interested in boys and partying than she is preparing for the SATs. Kaley and their best friend Monica don’t know how she expects a good score, but that’s just how Millie is. Later, the girls are at Millie’s house having dinner with her dad, Steve, when their SAT scores finally come in. Millie receives a near perfect score! Kaley begins to question how Millie received such a score when she barely studied, though Monica thinks she just got lucky. At school, Kaley overhears other students bragging about their high scores. She starts to look closer, but, suddenly, strange things start to happen - Kaley receives threatening messages to “stay out of it”, and someone is bullying her online. Finally, Kaley discovers that people somehow cheated on the SATs. The deeper Kaley looks into Millie being the potential ring leader into this cheating scandal, the more danger she seems to be in. One night, she’s attacked on her way home from a party and left for dead. Monica finds her and brings her to the hospital. Convinced that Millie might be the one behind the attacks, Kaley tells her mother Fiona everything that’s happened, and Fiona goes to speak to Steve. It’s finally revealed that Steve is the real culprit and is guaranteeing high SAT scores to wealthy parents desperate to get their kids into top colleges. Now that Fiona knows the truth, Steve will do anything to protect himself from going to jail for attacking Kaley, which means getting rid of both of them.
